The hike: you follow a well marked trail from the Preikestolen Fjellstue through different mountain landscapes. The plateau is approximately 25 x 25 metres, flat and you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Lysefjord and surrounding mountains. You need proper (warm) clothing and shoes (mountain shoes) and do not forget a packed lunch!
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN MAIN SEASON APRIL - SEPTEMBER: Ferry from Fiskepirterminalen in Stavanger to Tau and corresponding bus to Preikestolen Fjellstue where you start the hike. See documents on this page to download timetables.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN LOW SEASON OCTOBER - MARCH: Ferry from Stavanger to Tau and corresponding bus to Jørpeland. The remaining part of the way is by taxi from Jørpeland to Preikestolen Mountain Lodge (around 9 kilometres). PLEASE NOTE: Always take weather conditions into consideration before hiking during low season. It gets dark quickly and it could be slippery.
ON YOUR OWN BY CAR (ALL YEAR): Drive to Lauvvik via Rv 13 National Tourist Route Ryfylke, cross with ferry to Oanes (8 minutes) and continue along Rv 13 and follow the signs to Preikestolen. Or go by ferry from Stavanger to Tau (40 minutes) and drive south on Rv 13 following signposting. PLEASE NOTE: Always take weather conditions into consideration before hiking during low season. It gets dark quickly and it could be slippery.

說明指行上pulpit rock只需花兩小時一程，我們今天共花了七個半小時。
到山頂以後，腳已很累，風也很大。大部分人都要玩撲呢呢，
這座山上下山的人潮很強，真的很不方便。
下山以後到青年還舍休息，這家青年旅舍也很舒適。
